🥄 It's that time of year again

Free beer, National Pretzel Day and HOA violations.

Lifted by

Good morning, Fort Collins. Today is National Pretzel Day. And just thinking about that warm, freshly baked, twisted roll of doughy goodness is getting me in the mood.

But for now, let’s put the cheese dip away and focus on the weekend because we have a special issue to address: Our issue.

Welcome to the inaugural issue of ChoiceCity Dish, enjoy 🥄

HOA VIOLATION

A few things are certain in today’s economy:

  • Taxes

  • Inflation

  • Gravity

  • Traffic on College Ave

Seasons change and the snow has finally melted, which means if you still have your Christmas lights up you can count on one more thing: A passive-aggressive email from your HOA president, kindly reminding you to take them down (thanks Barb).

If you happen to see this man skulking around your neighborhood, snap a pic and let us know. A great starting point would be at CrossFit DNR winner of the 2020 2021 2022 and 2023 Reader’s Choice Best of NOCO award. Founders (and brothers) Kyle Knapp and Kody Knapp have been dishin’ Fort Collins with some of the best workouts imaginable. Their commitment to a healthier town can be felt in the community they’ve built over the past eleven years in business, possibly all stemming back to their roots, their garage, where it all began. And everything good starts in the garage, just ask Bezos and Gates.

Not that we need to remind you, but we will anyway. SUMMER IS COMING. So get it together and lose those last seven pounds that seem to be ganging up above your belt-line.

Already have a gym and not seeing the results you want? Maybe you prefer to steer clear of the iron paradise? Either way, if you need some help with your diet or deciding which workouts you should be doing, it may be time to bring in a professional to coach you remotely. Bring in a Registered Dietitian. Bring in a strength coach and personal trainer. Bring in Chase Chesterman

Whatever you do, just get up and do something.

MOUNTAIN GONE WILD

This cozy 5 bed 4 bath, Mountain Ave home may not look like much on the outside, and for the most part, it isn’t. However, that’s where the boring stops and the creative nesting begins.

Features include 1925 nostalgia, fully remodeled inside, enclosed porch with heat and AC, and the cherry on top, your very own prohibition style speakeasy. What do you think this 3,500 sq/ft home will cost to call your own?

Now that you’ve had time to look through the pictures, you may be asking yourself how you can turn your own home into a profit-seeking missile like this one?

Well for starters, it does help to be located on Mountain Ave. Listing agent Josh Chapel can’t claim this renovation was all his idea, but he did have a hand in the project and would be more than happy to serve as a consultant if you are looking to start a renovation of your own. Or you can save yourself the argument over which faucet matches the door handles best and just buy this house instead 😎

If you guessed the price was north of 2 million, you were close. Try $2,200,000.

If you already haven’t, you can check out the full listing here.
